Great article. I was lucky enough to visit Hayman Island from a wet and windy Manchester sometime in 1967. It was the most idyllic place I had ever seen in my young life, and to this day it is still the most beautiful place I have ever had the good fortune to visit. I still dream of returning one day almost 50 years later but am concerned primarily, that it may not be as wonderful as it is in my memories. Hernando’s Hideaway was the “nightclub” I remember haunting until almost breakfast time, and the swimming pool was unbelievable; not to mention the incredible beaches. Ah well. Maybe one day I’ll get to check it out again!
